Blossom Manuka Honey comes from the pristine bush and coastal areas of the Northern New South Wales coast in Australia.
Manuka Honey is graded according to strength. The anti-bacterial level is determined by the amount of Methylglyoxal (MGO). The higher the MGO the greater the anti-bacterial activity. The +550 strength can also be used topically for minor wounds.
Unique Manuka Factor (UMF) is another commonly used term to describe anti-bacterial activity.
AS A GUIDE THE CONVERSION WOULD BE :

+400 MGO mg/kg = Active 20+
+120 MGO mg/kg = Active 10+
+30 MGO mg/kg = Active 5+
